Darn
(DIverse ArchITecture Nomads)
Atelier DARN, a collaborative platform of interdisciplinary architects, where "DARN" represents Diverse Architecture Nomads, reflecting our dedication to transcending design boundaries. With experience across Paris, Milan, and Istanbul, they bring diverse perspectives to every project, united by a vision for a sustainable, purpose-driven future, aiming to redefine the boundaries of architectural possibilities. Our work focuses on sustainable forms of building with a specific emphasis on natural, plant-based or recycled materials at the nexus of cultural knowledge and innovative adaptation applied in architecture, urban planning and landscape design. Our mission is to create spaces that resonate with environment, history, and people. We identify as storytellers and process designers as much as architects, crafting experiences that challenge conventions, push boundaries, and foster meaningful connections.
Our recent work includes ephemeral interventions as invited guest artists at the A Cel Obert Festival 2025 in Tortosa, Spain, and the Public Prize-winning installation Rhubarb at the Festival des Architectures Vives 2024 in Montpellier, composed of 1,000 3D-printed elements, along with previous recognitions from various international organizations and municipalities in urban and architectural design competitions. At Atelier Darn, we pride ourselves on being an award-winning architectural network who are not bound by borders. Our team, with diverse backgrounds and experience across various geographical contexts, brings a unique perspective to every project we undertake, grounded in an adaptive, cross-cultural, and interdisciplinary design framework.
